Getting Started: 4 Steps To Your Own Blog
1) Decide on and get your hosting setup.
Choose one of our hosting partners and register using the link below. If you don’t use our link, we won’t be paid by the host for your installation and will have to charge you directly. When you register for your hosting, the hosting company will give you the specific name servers (DNS servers) for your website. You’ll need those in step 2. Some hosts will give you a free domain with registration, that’s great and saves you some time and money. If you have any questions, please use my Contact Form to ask me.
2) Decide on and buy your domain name.
Once you’ve decided on a name for your blog find out if it’s available. GoDaddy lets you run searches for names and will offer some suggestions. I also recommend BustAName.com to help find available names. When you register your site name (we recommend GoDaddy) be sure to enter the DNS information your host gave you. 4) Start blogging!
This should be the fun part! Write some content, post some pictures or videos and tell your friends, family and the rest of the world to check out your blog!
